Jure Miklavc Wins Prestigious Red Dot Award Once Again
20.05.2025
Professor Jure Miklavc, Head of the Industrial Design programme at UL ALUO, has won the Red Dot Award for the seventh time with his Studio Miklavc. This year, the award in the Product Design category was given for the women’s ski boot ENYO, co-designed with UL ALUO alumna Silva Vitez in collaboration with the company Alpina.
The Red Dot is an internationally renowned design competition that honours outstanding design quality and innovation across various industries. It has been awarded since 1955 and attracts thousands of entries from around the world each year. The Red Dot Award is considered one of the most prestigious accolades in the field, recognising excellence in innovative functionality, usability, ergonomics, sustainability, and aesthetic refinement.
Receiving a Red Dot represents a significant acknowledgement of design excellence and confirms that a product meets the highest global standards. Such is the case with the new ALPINA ENYO ski boot from Studio Miklavc, which marks an important milestone in the development of women’s sports equipment. Featuring the innovative C3 – Complete Control Cuff system, which enables quick and easy anatomical volume adjustment from ankle to cuff—without the need for tools—ENYO offers a perfect fit for every skier. It is the first and only solution of its kind on the market, effectively addressing common issues experienced by women with more pronounced calf shapes, and setting new standards in comfort, fit, and performance.
Our sincere congratulations to Professor Miklavc and all collaborators involved!
